Specify ruminant

CLEM.Resources.SpecifyRuminant

This component specifies a ruminant with type, age, weight and gender.

In undertaking herd management activities you will often need to specify the details of individuals. While this is often done using filtering with the Ruminant group, this is designed to filter a larger groups such as the herd down to selected individuals. This component allows you to specify the individual ruminants with which to build the herd up and is therefore used in activities that permit stocking of specified individuals.

The following parameters are used to define this activity

The type of ruminant to apply. This parameter points to one of the defined Ruminant type in the Ruminant herd group of the Resources available for this simulation. This entry is a drop down list of available Ruminant types.

A proportion can also be supplied. The meaning of this value will be determined by the parent activity. If multiple instances of this component are used the Proportion properties of all related components must add up to 1.

An example of using this property would be to allow a proportion of the requested animals to be based on this component with additional components providing the details of the remaining individuals.

The following components are required to set up this component

A Ruminant initial cohort component provided below this component defines the details of the required individual. This component does not use the Number property of the cohort as the number required will be determined by the parent activity and the Proportion property above.
