Using CLEM
Using the CLEM model to simulate your farming system requires understanding two aspects:
- how to use the user interface to build your simulation which we describe in this section, and
- the variety of components available (see Features) which involves getting to know the functionality of the model.
While it is often easy to grab a pre-built model and click run, we highly recommend having a go at building your model from scratch. This will ensure you have a good understanding of what the model is doing and be satisfied it is truly simulating your farming system.
To get to know CLEM we suggest you have a look at the following topics:
- Getting started
- The user interface
- Building your simulation
- Companion components
- Restricting activities
- What to do when resources are limiting
- Allowing random variability in your simulation
- Managing labour resources
- Running a simulation
- Summary information
- Reports and graphs
