The Software Engineering Group has implemented a new Beta release process where pre-release versions of APSIM are made available to users for testing purposes. This was done to avoid the situation where users were being given 'bootleg' versions of executables for new functionality that was in demand. Now this new functionality is made available in official BETA releases. A cautionary word of warning though: It is strongly recommended that you do NOT use these beta releases unless you are wanting to test the new functionality. They have only undergone limited testing! Do NOT use beta releases for production simulations! The beta releases, included the release notes containing what has changed, can be accessed from the new beta release menu on the main menu.Posted:21st May 2007
