Land

You can think of the land on a farm as a resource that activities (e.g. Manage crop) can use and even return to the store when no longer needed. For example, you may need land to grow native pasture to graze animals or land to grow crops and changes in management overtime may release land from one activity to be used by another existing or new activity. This Land resource group is made up of any number of Land type components that define the total land area of the farm.

The following parameters are associated with this resource

Unit of area

The name of the units of area used for the simulation. The default values is "hectares".

Unit of area conversion to hectares

As some activities will need to perform calculations based on a known area (hectares) you are required to supply a conversion from your units of area to hectares. (e.g. Hectares = [Unit of area] * Value). A value of 1 represents area measured in hectares.
