Example simulations

A number of example CLEM simulations are provided with your APSIM Next generation installation. These simulations will always be up to date to run with the latest version CLEM including the latest property settings and features (see What's new for details on upgrading your version of  APSIM Next Generation). We plan to continually develop new examples to help create your CLEM simulations so please contact us if you need a particular example simulation. The description of each example (see below) provides a walk-through of how the model was set up with helpful discussion on the setup, approaches used and how to read the results.

Additional examples and guides are provided with each feature in this help documentation and especially the How to... section.

The example CLEM simulations are located in the [APSIM installation directory]\Examples\CLEM folder. This folder contains the simulation file (*.apsimx) as well as all required input files for the example. You can use these input files as templates to provide your own input data, but you may find the supported Excel spreadsheet easier to work with than the space delimited text files provided. See each of the Data readers for information on the data formats supported and how to present your data.

Each example simulation file may contain a number of separate example simulations within the one file. Each simulation contains a memo as the first component that provides a details and the list of the additional files required for the simulation. Full descriptions of the available examples are available via the links below.

You should not run the example files from the APSIM Next Generation software directory where they are installed as you will not have permission to access these files (an error will be thrown if you perform the simulation from this location), and these files and all your changes can be replaced with upgrades of APSIM. For this reason, copy the simulation files and any associated data files to a working directory before modifying and running the example simulations.
