APSRU
APSRU.gov.au
APSIM development, maintenance and commercialisation are now the responsibility of the APSIM Initiative (AI) and is now separate from the research-oriented Agricultural Production Systems Research Unit (APSRU).
After many years of successful collaboration, APSRU continues as an informal collaborative arrangement between interested parties based out of Toowoomba, Australia.
Yield Prophet
Yield Prophet® is an on-line crop production model designed to provide grain growers with real-time information about their crop, providing integrated production risk and monitoring decision support relevant to farm management. Operated as a web interface for the Agricultural Production Systems Simulator (APSIM (new window)), Yield Prophet generates crop simulations and reports to assist in decision making.
The simulations provide a framework for growers and advisors to forecast yield, manage climate and soil water risk, target specific grain quality, make informed decisions about nitrogen and irrigation applications, match inputs with the yield potential of their crop, assess the effect of changed sowing dates or varieties and assess the possible affects of climate change. By matching crop inputs with potential yield in a given season, Yield Prophet subscribers may avoid over and under investing in their crop.

Whopper Cropper
Whopper Cropper is an easy-to-use computer program designed to provide crop management
advisers with the latest technology in cropping systems modelling and seasonal climate
forecasting. The highly variable climate of north-eastern Australia makes cropping a
complex and risky business that is difficult to study using short-term field trials.
The Agricultural Production Systems Research Unit (APSRU) has developed a cropping systems
model, Agricultural Production Systems SIMulator (APSIM), that can be used to support
improved risk management in cropping systems. Whopper Cropper is the result of many years
interaction between researchers and crop management advisers developing this modelling
technology and make it widely available. View the Whopper Cropper fact sheet
Experimental
Experimental - This is a prototype site to test "publishing" data from long term catchment studies in Queensland, AUSTRALIA. These catchment studies formed part of a suite of hydrology and erosion studies initiated by the Queensland Department of Primary Industries in the 1960'sand 1970's.

Queensland Government SILO Weather Station Data Download Mirror - You can use this link to download SILO Weather Station Patched Point Dataset (PPD) for use in APSIM.
nb. When downloading PPD from this website you have various formats you can select from. One of the available formats is the standard APSIM met file format. When downloading we recommend you select this format option.
please note: SILO Weather Station Data is produced by the Australian Bureau of Meteorology and therefore only contains Australian Weather Station Sites
