Most of these have been fixed. Of the others, they are either user errors or things we might get to one day but are such a low priority that we'll never get to them.

In SoilUI "General" tab, add a "country" field to this tab.

I almost started a riot when I went to enter New Zealand as a State of Australia.

manager rules should use the term "crop" instead of "module" in the descriptions in the GUI
 comment 640 posted by ver078 on 2008-09-12 12:43 PM, 3540 days ago

FIXED, THIS NOW WORKS

If you have 2 output files in a paddock, and then you drop a graph only on one of them. It will still see both of them.

Annoyingly also if you drop it on the 2nd one, it will see both as mentioned but it will graph the first one by default. Not what you want at all. You could live with it, if not for this.

GUI for Tav_amp tool. Perhaps in the MetUI.

Not sure what this is allueding to.

Cotton harvest rule is differet from the other harvest rules. It has OzCot_status but it does not check to see if the crop is dead like other harvest rules do. This is fine because that is how cotton module works, but users are dragging in this harvest rule and modifying it for other crops. If they do this then the sowing rule does not do anything next year if the crop dies. (Once again just like "Sow on fixed date rule" perhaps put all non APSRU module rules in a folder together. These non standard APSRU modules will cause these problems with their non standard manager rules.)

Stock genotype dropped on a "stock" node does not write anything to the .sim file. The macro language does not do anything at [foreach stock.genotype]
 comment 636 posted by ver078 on 2008-09-12 12:29 PM, 3540 days ago

FIXED, see Revision 138 (if user tries to rename a node in the simulation to nothing then it does not do any rename at all and leaves the node unchanged.

In an XY chart control,

when you plot a variable against itself you get an exception.

when you rename a chart to a blank name and then try to delete the blank name chart you get an exception.

FIXED

If a soil has a problem like LL15 < airdry then ApsimRun crashes without giving an error.

Similarly if the Bulk Density and porosity are more then 2.6, you need to warn them WHEN they do a run. Not when they change the SoilUI because this is annoying and not in the summary file because no one will read it.

People in New Zealand tended to use the "End Crop on fixed date" manager rule alot to harvest crop. This is wrong.

I am not sure what whoever wrote this note expects you to do about it but.

Need calendar control for rotations manager rule.

Basically this means, you want users to be able to just edit a calandar control that looks like one of Jeremy Whish's rotation charts. Like the ones in the last exersize in the training manual. With Year1, Year2, .... across the top
and months below, and the type of rotation on the side.

Need more tracker example runs in tracker control.

Wheat frosting to be removed. I assume this is a manager rule that needs to be removed.

An Undo facility would be good.

I assume they mean in the GUI when they change the tree or a UI they want an undo button to undo  the change.

If you rename "met" in the tree, the waterbalance does not get any met data.
 comment 628 posted by ver078 on 2008-09-12 11:47 AM, 3540 days ago
Just add some text to the UI to say meters instead of mm.

"Sow on a fixed date rule" -> "row spacing" property uses millimeters but some crops such as Maize still use meters for row spacing.

I reckon we should sort the "manager rules with examples" folder into sub folders for specific crops/modules that require slightly different manager rules then other crops (usually because you have added someone elses module into apsim and needs special manager rules to work). And then have a bunch of generic rules for any crops.
So sugar for example could have its own folder, or at least have a "perennial" folder and an 'annual" folder.

Use gravel data in the Soil UI.

I think this is refering to Canterbury soils in New Zealand where they have gravel underneath that effects the soil properties. I think that is what whoever wrote this note is talking about (Either Dean or Neil).

Problem with using capital "A" in "As" for aliasing. It does not seem to like it if you use "As" instead of "as" to alias something. For example "dd/mm/yyyy as Date" is fine, but not "dd/mm/yyyy As Date"
 comment 625 posted by ver078 on 2008-09-12 11:31 AM, 3540 days ago
FIXED

In the Depth Plot example in the manual, it does not work because if the user deleted the "dd/mm/yyyy as Date" out of the output list, and then dragged in a new one, it only puts in "dd/mm/yyyy" and does not put in the "as Date". The Depth control needs a column that has the exact name "Date". Either we can change the Depth control to look for dd/mm/yyy or we can change the output variable so when you drag it to the variable list it drops in the "as Date" as well. Also alot of people get confused between, dd/mm/yyyy and dd/mmm/yyyy in the variable list. Perhaps you should alias "dd/mmm/yyyy as Date2".

Same problem with any of the graph controls. When you first drag a control from the Graph toolbox onto your simulation it looks for a column in the output file called "Date" and if it is called "dd/mm/yyyy" instead, then it generates an error.

In reporting frequency, when you set it to "harvesting" AND "daily" it does not produce a .out file. Maybe it is the fact you have harvesting BEFORE daily and not the other way around that is the problem.

One instance where ESW was typed into the variable list and it put the description into the Array ? column instead of the description column

FIXED - you can copy to clipboard and even export to GIF, JPG, PDF etc.

Graph Controls, -> want to be able to copy and paste them or be able to export them to Power Point or Word, or into a .jpg without having to do a screen capture.

FIXED

Graphs are too big, no scroll bar, can't see XY Chart on Laptop.

FIXED

In the variables window, under soil, you should use the headings "water variables" and "nitrogen variables" instead of just "variables" and "variables".
