Main problem was if you copy a simulation onto the root simulation folder and then you do not rename it immediately, and then you go and delete the soil in the copied simulation and then try to drag in a new soil from the toolbox. When you click on the InitWat node the GUI crashes. Comes up with an "Index is out of bounds of the array" error. You can not fix this once it happens.
When this happens In the xml of the .apsim file I noticed that the <InitWater> section comes up empty with only <InitWater/> and nothing else specified. Obviously the GUI is not copying the xml correctly. It is doing it all in mememory without writing it to the .apsim and because you are editing it in memory by the time it goes to write to the .apsim file stuff is missing.
To aviod this problem just do a save straight after copying it and renaming it, and make sure you drag in the new soil before you delete the old one.

Hi Shaun,
We recently gave a training course in India and found that the GUI crashed quite a lot. There were also several erros in the training doco in the first exercise alone and the GUI even crashes if you follow the steps.
