APSIM currently uses a uniform retardation factor (defaulted to 1=no retardation) for the entire soil profile to simulate nitrate leaching. We found positive charge in our soil profiles and this charge increases with soil depth. I need to specify retardation < 1 in each layer according to positive charge so as to test the sensitivity of the system to charge.
